Crabbe, Brown & James represents local and national clients on environmental matters at the federal, state and local levels. Our environmental practice group is experienced in regulatory compliance matters and permitting issues under many aspects of the Resource Conservation Recovery Act, the Clean Water Act, the Clean Air Act and the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act. Our environmental practice group represents clients in Brownfield's Programs at the state level, assists and advises clients on Phase I and Phase II Environmental Assessments and Audit Issues, and advises and assists clients on a wide range of regulatory compliance issues under federal, state and local laws. In addition, we negotiate and appeal permitting issues, and represent clients in judicial and administrative civil enforcement actions under major environmental statutes. We also represent insureds with respect to claims against insurance companies under a variety of insurance policies, including comprehensive general liability policies.

Our environmental practice group attorneys have served as Supervising Attorney with the Ohio EPA, and as Director of Public Safety of the City of Columbus. Our attorneys serve on local and regional committees and work groups involving regulatory compliance, administrative and environmental law issues.
