School districts and boards of education are frequently the targets of lawsuits throughout Ohio. It is not unusual for individual board members, superintendents, teachers, and various other employees to also be named in the lawsuit, both individually and in their official capacity. These lawsuits can cover numerous issues and topics, such as student discipline; teacher contracts; student and teacher rights; racial, gender, and religious discrimination; bullying; student and teacher harassment; playground injuries; student fights; and various other conflicting situations.
