Crabbe, Brown & James partner and former Ohio Supreme Court Justice Andy Douglas was featured on Episode 2 of “Reflections from the Bench” where he was interviewed by current Ohio Supreme Court Justice Patrick F. Fischer. Justice Douglas reflected on his time on the bench and shared a few memorable moments.

Justice Douglas served three terms on the Ohio Supreme Court from 1985 to 2002. Prior to serving on the Supreme Court, Justice Douglas served on the 6th District Court of Appeals and the Toledo City Council. Andy earned his law degree from the University of Toledo in 1959 and served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956.

Justice Douglas joined Crabbe, Brown & James in 2003. His practice focuses on appellate litigation, general corporate matters, and estate planning and probate. He regularly appears before the Ohio Supreme Court advocating for his clients. Most recently—on behalf of the Ohio Veterans & Fraternal Charitable Coalition, a 501(c)(3) organization that represents more than 1,700 veterans and fraternal posts and lodges throughout Ohio—Justice Douglas appealed to the high court on an issue of statutory interpretation.
