On August 15-20, 2021 the National FOP held its Biennial National Conference in Indianapolis, Indiana. Larry H. James, General Counsel to the National FOP since 2001, and Christopher R. Green, presented the 2021 Biennial Report prepared by legal counsel. Highlighting the report and presentation included a discussion on COVID-19 vaccine mandates as it relates to public employers. Crabbe, Brown & James recently published an article summarizing the same.

At the National FOP 2021 Biennial National Conference, Mr. James and Mr. Green also covered the various task forces convened by the National FOP and managed by legal counsel over the course 2020 and 2021. These task forces provide general guidance to local FOP lodges and leadership on civilian review boards, the impact of collective bargaining and arbitration on law enforcement, qualified immunity, and best practices for a Brady policy.
